  • A photograph of a mountain landscape dominated by a waterfall shows us an illusionistic and romantic vision of a landscape in contrast to figures that move, tiny, in the immensity of nature. Next to it, a picture covered in mud, dry and cracked, manifests itself as a fragment of the real landscape. The water of the waterfall, pure visuality, and the earth of the muddy picture coexist in a decanting of materials, as if the clay had been extracted from a bit of the photograph. In this movement of materials around earth and water in their different states, liquid, wet and dry, are given off the smells of the landscape in constant transformation by rain, wind and sun.
