For the larger part, my sculptures consist of what we call ‘abject matter’ (the abject according to Georges Bataille). 

Everyday materials that have been disassociated from their original use, their initial context, are covered with domestic dust or horse hair drenched in animal blood.

The ephemeral character of smell corresponds beautifully to the abject appearance of my work.
