A mere glance at the titles that Chillida gives his sculptures serves to reveal the metaphysical depth of his poetics and the intense sensory charge of his works. The fact is that Chillida is tremendously mental, he rationalizes lines, forms and spaces with precision, but never does so by applying a stereotyped formula, but by obeying the dictates of a sensibility that works with the five senses, since it is through sensations that he establishes the first contact with a raw material, with a graphic technique, with a specific place.
