Blood relations

Are the differences or the similarities only just “skin deep” ?
what if we reach beneath the surface, into the essence – see it, touch it, smell it ?

Blood and chlorophyll their sticky texture on my fingers, their strong smell reaching my nostrils heavy and insipid, somewhat sweet but again, placed on the opposite ends of sweet – complementary, as their colors.
