The work is based on an analysis of two types of relationship:

The pictorial rigour in the abstraction typical of the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century;

Rupture as a rational impulse.

PUTIN: It is a work inspired by politicians. A Putin portrait (Vladimir) is a sign, and a symptom, of the painful blindness of wormy politician’s faults. Nothing can be drawn anymore.

SHOES AND COLOURS: Shoes is a passionate dedication to the principle that organized dirt has its own aesthetic qualities.

Artistic practice is the premise necessary for the creation of the creative process, so the footprint of a shoe becomes a pictorial substance, glue or assembly material.

From the beginning, certain olfactory sensations have been linked to these two works. It is curious how the portrait of the statesman gives off a particular smell of something old, closed-up and dirty, while shoes and colours opens the windows and lets in a much more optimistic aroma.
