Like in the sugar skulls for the Día de Muertos in Mexico, this skull coated in colourful resin does not smell like death, even though it is an image of it overexploited in pop culture.

The dripping, oozing, floating, rich colours recall more the celebration of life we find during these holidays. Like with the days of the dead it reminds our senses of things alive and smelling, maybe even like sweets and treats.
