Where is the smell of a photograph?

How to talk about smell from photography…

When I come up with an idea that later becomes a photograph, smell is not consciously present, I slip along down the mental space through images that gradually construct what will be the final image…

I move silently in a forest that is located in the other reality that lives parallel to me… sometimes I am simply in a dense darkness that drowns me and at others in clearings free of undergrowth, but the path runs on until I wake up with a vague idea of what I will continue to work on here in this reality in which all the senses are ‘real?’…

It is hard for me to put smell into the works, but the interesting thing about this whole process is that the viewer should feel it with all her senses. Smell is part of the remembering of being, like the images that submerge faded and blurred in the unconscious of memory and when they rise again from the ashes come alive with each of the senses…

It is only in our personal experience that the sensations and smells each of us carries with us are stored.
